A timer to demonstrate the uniqueness of different timing systems. By collecting lap times for a common event, the random timing for multiple observers of the common event can be shown. The goal of Hamish's PhD thesis was to provide a reference time for all common observers that is not negatively impacted by large errors in the independent observations.
