Jean-Yves Tourneret received the Eng. degree in Electrical
Engineering from ENSEEIHT,
Toulouse, France, and the M.Sc. degree in Signal Processing
from the National
Polytechnic Institute of Toulouse, both in 1989. He
received the Ph.D. degree in Signal Processing from the
National Polytechnic Institute of Toulouse in 1992. He joined the electrical engineering department
of ENSEEIHT in 1993 as an Assistant Professor. He
obtained the habilitation degree (HDR) in Signal Processing
from the National Polytechnic Institute of Toulouse in 1998. He moved to the telecommunication and
networking department of the
engineering school ENSEEIHT in
2002 where he is currently a professor. He has been a
member of the Signal and Communication Team of the IRIT Laboratory (UMR 5505 of
the CNRS) from 1993 to 2017 (participating to the leadership
of this team from Sept. 2005 to Sept. 2013). In december 2016,
He joined the IRIT Team TCI whose activities are centered
around image processing and understanding. In October 2018, He
moved to the IRIT Team MINDS where He is currently developing
a research program on statistical signal and image processing
methods applied to medical imaging.
